Vitals Chrome extension: privacy
Vitals is Pulse For Good's internal sales system. Its Chrome extension is for Pulse For Good staff only; it works only for people signed in to Vitals with a pulseforgood.com account.
What it reads, and when
- Which sites are organizations we know. Twice a day the extension downloads a scrambled (hashed) list of the web addresses of organizations in Vitals, and checks the sites you visit against it on your own computer. The sites you visit are not sent anywhere.
- An organization's card. When the side panel is open on the website of an organization already in Vitals, it asks Vitals for what we know about that organization.
- Prospecting mode, only when you turn it on. With the side panel open and Prospecting switched on, the address of each website you open that isn't in Vitals is sent to Vitals so it can research that organization (common sites like Google, email and social media are skipped). Vitals reads the site's public home page itself; the extension sends the page's text only for sites you've already let it read. It's off by default and stays off until you switch it on.
- A page's contents, only when you click. Add (the site's name and description), Find the people (that organization's public about and staff pages), Read this page (the page you have open), Score this profile (the LinkedIn profile you have open), and Send notifications (the LinkedIn notifications on screen).
Where it goes
Only to Vitals (crm.pulseforgood.com), which uses Anthropic's Claude to read and summarize what you sent. To research an organization in Prospecting mode, Vitals also asks AI search services (xAI's Grok and Google's Gemini) about that organization by name and website; nothing about you is included. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else, and nothing is used for advertising. Page text is used to answer your request and not kept; what's kept is what you choose to save (an organization, contacts, a score) and Prospecting research on organizations, shared with the sales team for 30 days.
What it never does
It never sends messages, connection requests or emails for you, never clicks or browses on its own, and never reads pages in the background. With the side panel closed, or Prospecting switched off, it sends nothing about the sites you visit.
